My grandfather found this car for me in the summer of 1996. I traded in my 1981 AMC Eagle (big 4-wheel drive station wagon, from the makers of the Pacer and the Gremlin) and paid for tax and title (came out to just over $100) and it was mine. My grandfather has always had connections in the car business. He was the biggest Ford dealer in the midwest for a number of years, raced stock cars, and was the inventor of the car lease (incredible, eh?).
