Franconia, AZ ~ Yucca Dense Collection Area

Robby and I met up with Nate in the strewn field for a day of meteorite hunting.

I finall found my first iron meteorite, it weighed 0.8g and had some nice features for its size.  The hole I dug it from is visible in the background.

Later in the day my metal detector and I also managed to find an 18.5g chondrite fragment with some fusion crust.  The hole I dug it from is visible in the photos below.
